The Trailhead aims to give cyclists a basic understanding of what you need to ride, one topic at a time. Expect short, single topic episodes that will give you the power to tackle a project or at the very least you will know what to ask for at the bike shop.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Matt took a question from Just Riding Along and converted it into an entire episode of The Trailhead. Matt ropes Ben into helping him get everything packed into this episode about going out of town. Listen in and take notes if you have ever gone on a trip with “that one guy” who didn’t have what he needed to make sure your trip wasn’t a waste.
We want to hear from you! If you have any questions, comments, or ideas for the next episode, contact Matt at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have a question that is centered around a particular thing you heard on MBR please send the show name and time in the show the confusion arose. If it is from a specific article, send Matt a link. Something going on with your own bike or something in real life? Shoot over a photo with your question.
LIST OF THINGS TO PACK
-Tire pump – floor style
-Tire pump for on bike use (CO2 can get spendy.)
-Spare tubes – a lot. Paying retail on the road when you have them in a box at home is annoying.
-Spare tire that works tubeless
-Derailleur hanger – one for every bike in the group. Attached to your hanger should be the appropiate speed quick link for trailside repair if need. You probably will need these at the same time. Attach them together with a bread tie.
-Chain – one for every speed in the group
-Cooking supplies/food ready to eat.
-Pour over coffee setup
