Twelve years and 35 pounds ago, Auk realized his sedentary lifestyle was on a destructive path. Rolling into the Path Bike Shop, he bought his first mountain bike, an Ellsworth Joker (call it a 6-inch single pivot “freeride” bike) and started commuting to work (14 mile round trip).
Between bike commuting and enjoying all styles of bicycling, Auk averages about 5,000 miles a year on the bike. Call it a love of the lifestyle, he truly, “Loves the Bike He Rides!”
He’s enjoyed many adventures with the co-hosts, Nathan and Tani: shuttling (by car or by hike-a-biking) local DH trails, soul riding epic mountains, charging wilderness parks, and even dusting off the road bikes from time to time.
